Before You Buy + FAQ

To ensure a positive and transparent shopping experience, I encourage you to read the following to learn more about my design process, sustainable practices, available modifications, and order management! :)

Sourcing and Production

My main goal for Shuffled Vintage is to highlight the beauty of sustainability and the impact slow fashion can have on our personal consumer habits for the advancement of ecological health. For this reason, all my jewelry and accessories are made with primarily secondhand and vintage items that I rework into "new" pieces for you; this also means I cannot repeat designs, making every work one of a kind.

I thrift primarily from small and local thrift shops, but I do occasionally source from established resale shops such as Goodwill, or online through eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, and WhatNot. I also sometimes purchase beads and charms from the local bead shop in my area in an effort to support small business and avoid large manufacturers like Hobby Lobby and Michael's.

The hardware and findings I use to create my items are not repurposed; this is to ensure the longevity and quality of the design you are purchasing. Using old metals can make a piece more susceptible to breakage, rust, and allergic reactions. I make an effort to purchase these findings and jeweler quality metals from crafter destash sales or through small online businesses on Etsy when necessary.

All the listed accessories, unless otherwise stated, are entirely handmade by me. I take apart and polish the charms, chains, beads, and other components I can rework from existing jewelry and piece together a design I come up with on my own. Every piece is an arduous and time-consuming project that I genuinely put all my heart into, and I believe that is reflected in my craftsmanship.

It is also important to note that due to the secondhand nature of my materials, there is a chance of items arriving with blemishes such as slight scratching, discoloration, missing gemstones, or other. I list what I notice in the item description for transparency, but will also happily offer additional images for further inspection if requested before purchase.

Modifications

I happily offer modifications to length, metal material, and other sensitivities upon request. If any of these facets are unlisted in the item description, but you would like more information, you may contact me through my contact page and I will respond promptly with my available solutions.

I can offer an extension of the necklace, an extender chain for length customization, nickel-free metals, gold-filled metals, surgical grade stainless steel, amongst other arrangements.

Return Policy

All sales are final.

As listed above, to prevent dissatisfaction, I offer additional images of desired items, item measurements and weight, and will answer any questions about an item's materials to the best of my ability upon request. Please be mindful of the quality of second-hand materials and hand-made items; due to being repurposed, they may arrive with pre-existing scratches and/or slight blemishes that are listed in the item's description.

If items arrive damaged, please message me photos of the item, packaging, and perceived damage. A shop credit or order replacement may be offered based on case circumstances; this is entirely subject to my judgement.

If a package is lost or stolen, please reach out to your local post office. A tracking number is provided once a label has been created and all packages are insured. Packages that appear lost may arrive a few days late during busy shipment seasons.

I do not accept returns without prior arrangement. If an item is returned without communication, you will not be compensated.

Meet Aixangela (That's Me!)

Hi, there! I'm a Puerto Rican and Cuban American writer, artist, and environmentalist.

I love animals, Halloween, Broadway musicals, Youtube analysis videos about media I've never seen, and I will never say no to a cup of coffee.

I put my heart into every piece I make and it is the most exciting thing in the world to see people wear my art and feel good about it.

I am always learning and evolving and I feel my business has proven that; thank you to everyone who has been here from the start and every person who has just joined along now.

You keep my work alive. 💚
